Logos
Logos
The two main Masterpiece logos are designed to accommodate all types of communication. The wide version should be prioritised but if the layout won't accommodate the wide version, the stacked version should be used instead. Please follow the logo use guidelines carefully.

Masterpiece Stacked Logo

The Masterpiece icon is used for social media accounts where it can be accompanied by text that conveys that it belongs to Masterpiece Tattoo Family. Please follow the logo use guidelines carefully.
Masterpiece Icon
Safe zone
When applying the logo to a design or placing it next to other visual elements, it should have some room to breathe. This is where safe zone comes into play. The logo’s safezone defines the distance between the logo and any graphic element it may be sitting next to in a composition. For the wide logo, use half the height from the logo itself to establish the safe zone. For the stacked logo, use a quarter of the height of the logo itself to establish the safe zone. Positioning of the ‘Tattoo Family’ logotype is the only exception to the safe zone rule. Please see the ‘Tattoo Family’ logotype sections for details.

Safe zone is equal to half the height of the logo itself.

Safe zone is equal to a quarter of the height of the logo itself.
Logo Colors
Black & White
Masterpiece Tattoo Family’s logos should only appear in black or white. This keeps their application simple and allows it to appear on many different colored backgrounds or photos. Both colors should provide equal brand recognition. When a logo is placed on a color or a photo background, we should strive for contrast and readability.
Logo use on photography
Always ensure the Masterpiece logos are clear and legible when placing them on photos. The background must be either light or dark enough to provide enough contrast. It’s important to choose images that don’t have too many details that could interfere with the logo.

Logo use don’ts
When we use Masterpiece’s logos on design and communication we must avoid affecting the logo in any way possible. The examples show incorrect use of logo. The same rules apply to the icon.

Do not place the logo on busy images where legibility is compromised.

Do not rotate or adjust the logo in any way.

Do not add a shadow or any other effects to the logo.

Do not use any color other than black or white.

Do not decorate or add extra elements to the logo.

Do not use any other fonts as a substitute for the logo.

Do not use an outline stroke on the logo.
Tattoo Family logotype
The full brand name is Masterpiece Tattoo Family so the words ‘Tattoo Family’ must always appear in the same design layout as the main Masterpiece logo. The words ‘Tattoo Family’ must always be set in Agrandir Wide Bold, in all caps, but can be positioned in many different configurations to create a lively and playful relationship between the two identity elements.
Tattoo Family typography
The Tattoo Family logotype is always set in Agrandir Wide Bold with 200 unit letter spacing. A master logotype is provided but the two words can be separated, placed on two lines and positioned in many different configurations.
‘Tattoo Family’ logotype lock-ups
The ‘Tattoo Family’ logotype can be positioned close to the Masterpiece logos in a variety of supplied lock-ups. In addition the logotype can be positioned away from the logotype. Examples of this are also shown in the next section.
Applying the ‘Tattoo Family’ logotype away from the logo
The ‘Tattoo Family’ logotype can also be applied separately from the Masterpiece logo. There is a lot of freedom in where the logotype can be placed. The examples below show that the two words can be split apart, rotated and duplicated to help create dynamic layouts.
